5 Scriptures for Moms Who Feel Overwhelmed

Hi friend,
If you’re reading this, maybe you’ve had one of “those days.” The kind where the laundry is overflowing, the kids are loud, dinner isn’t planned, and you feel like you’re barely keeping your head above water. I’ve been there more times than I can count.

The truth is, being a mom is beautiful but also messy. And in those overwhelming moments, I’ve found that God’s Word brings me peace and reminds me I don’t have to do this alone. 💜

Here are 5 Scriptures that encourage me when I feel overwhelmed. I pray they bless you, too.

1. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28

This is my go-to verse when I feel like I’m carrying the world on my shoulders. Jesus doesn’t ask me to figure it all out — He simply says, “Come.”

2. “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7

When I start spiraling in my thoughts, this verse reminds me: I don’t have to carry my anxiety. God cares about even the little worries in my day.

3. “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” – Psalm 46:1

Sometimes I just whisper this to myself: “God is my strength.” Even in the middle of chaos, He is my safe place.

4. “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” – Exodus 14:14

I love this reminder that I don’t always have to “fix it all.” Sometimes God simply asks me to trust Him and be still.

5. “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9

On the days I feel like I’m failing, this verse reminds me: God’s grace covers me. I don’t have to be perfect — His strength shows up in my weakness.

A Gentle Reminder 💜

Mama, if you’re feeling overwhelmed today, you’re not alone. God sees you, He cares for you, and He will give you the strength to keep going. You don’t have to carry everything on your own.
