Life has a way of shifting in ways we don’t always expect. Not long ago, I was working, trying to balance it all – home, homeschool, family, faith. But after much prayer (and some hard lessons along the way), I realized being home with the boys was where I needed to be.
It hasn’t been easy. There are days I feel thankful beyond words to be here, and other days I quietly wonder if I’ve failed somehow — like I lost a piece of my purpose. Meanwhile, my husband’s doing so well in his new job, and I’m so proud of him… but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t worry about the weight all being on his shoulders now.
Still, in the middle of all the mixed emotions – there’s peace. The kind of peace that doesn’t always make sense, but gently whispers, “You’re right where you need to be.”
I’m learning that sometimes God calls us to pause — not because we’ve lost our purpose, but because He’s preparing our hearts for what’s next. 💜
“The Lord will work out his plans for my life—
for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever.”
– Psalm 138:8 (NLT)
